  3. Further, click on Internet Options.
  4. Click on “Make Default” under the Programs tab.
  5. Click on Apply and then OK.
  6. Now, check if the QuickBooks TLS error is fixed.

  1. Launch Internet Explorer to begin the troubleshooting process. Ensure you are using Internet Explorer as your default browser, as QuickBooks currently supports MIE only.

  3. Further, click to choose Internet Options.
  4. Now, navigate your cursor to the “Security tab” and click on the “Globe Icon” at the top.
  5. Ensure the security is not set to High. It should be up to “medium-high.”
  6. Here in this step, under the “Connection tab,” you will find the “Never Dial a Connection” option. Click on the option to select. “If you use the dial-up node (DUN) on the system, then ensure that you choose the right ISP.
  7. Further, click on “OK” to proceed.
  8. Navigate your cursor to the “LAN Settings” and ensure that the “Automatically Detect Settings” is enabled or checked. If no, then click in the checkbox adjacent to the option “Automatically Detect Settings.”
  9. Further, make sure that the “Use a Proxy Server” option is disabled.
  10. If you have not unchecked “Use a Proxy Server,” then enter the complete address and port. Moreover, if the port is not 80, then make sure you don’t uncheck the option “Use a Proxy Server.” If the port is 80, then only you can uncheck the option.
  11. Now click on “OK” and go to the “Advanced tab.”
  12. Here, choose “Restore Advanced Settings.”
  13. Further, scroll down to the Use TLS 1.0 checkbox.
  14. Ensure if the checkbox adjacent to “TLS 1.0” is checked, and “Use TLS 1.1” and “Use
    TLS 1.2 is unchecked.
  15. If yes, then further click on “OK.”
  16. Exit Internet Explorer to apply all the changes made.
  17. Now, restart your system and further check if the QuickBooks TLS error is still coming back.
